The Falling Object Protection Structure (FOPS) is a crucial feature of all construction, agriculture and industrial vehicles. The FOPS structure prevents falling objects from penetrating the roof structure and hitting the driver/occupant.Traditionally these structures are passed for acceptability by testing alone in accordance with ISO 3449:2008.
Using RADIOSS, our explicit (crash) analysis software, we can simulate the FOPS test long before any production drawings are available.
